Kathmandu: Social Development Minister of Bagmati Province Krishna Sharma Khanal has resigned from his post on Wednesday.
Khanal was appointed minister following the formation of the Astalaxmi Shakya-led government.
He had reached Bagmati Provincial Election Commission on Tuesday and had chosen the newly formed CPN (Unified Socialist) party.
“It did not seem appropriate for me to hold the post as I belong to a different party,” he said.
