In pics: Kathmandu waterlogged after incessant rainfall

Kathmandu: Different parts of Kathmandu have been inundated due to incessant rainfall since early Monday morning.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), Kathmandu Valley witnessed 104 millimeters of rainfall which is the highest rainfall recorded in a day this year.

With the heavy rains, the water level in rivers including Bagmati has risen. The riverside settlements have been inundated.

Meanwhile, 382 houses in Kathmandu have been inundated due to the floods, according to police. Police said that 138 people were rescued from settlements near riverbanks and taken to a safe place.
