Consensus among all parties on MCC necessary, Prachanda tells Sumar

Kathmandu: Vice President of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Fatema Z. Sumar, who is on a four-day Nepal visit, met Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday morning.

During the meeting, Prachanda said that further debate and discussions were needed on MCC, stressing the need for a consensus among all parties on the issue.

According to Prachanda’s Secretariat, MCC Vice President Sumar said that she visited Nepal only for interactions on the issue not for pressurizing or lobbying for the parliamentary ratification.

Sumar on Thursday met CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.
