Nepal records 1,330 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours; 55,242 vaccinated

Kathmandu: The country has recorded 1,330 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were detected through 13,622 tests. The Covid-19 positivity rate stood at 9.76 percent.

Similarly, 1,830 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people recovered from the infection has reached 754,000 so far. The recovery rate is 95.9 percent.

There are 21,524 active cases across the nation.

Five more people succumbed to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,053. According to the Ministry, 335 coronavirus infected are receiving treatment at ICU, 107 are with ventilator support, 20,164 in home isolation, 1,360 in institutional isolation and 250 in quarantine.

Likewise, 55,242 people got vaccinated against coronavirus today. A total of 6.230 million people have been administered the first dose of the vaccine while 5.628 million have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
