Nepal records 1,239 new cases and 13 fatalities in the last 24 hour

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday said that Nepal recorded 1,239 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

In a regular update, the ministry said the new cases were diagnosed in 11,629 RT-PCR and 3,614 antigen tests carried out during the same period.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 caseload has reached 788,769 in PCR tests and 89,907 in antigen tests.

The Health Ministry added that 1,324 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking total recovered cases to 756,954. The recovery rate stands at 96 percent.

Likewise, 13 people succumbed to the pandemic. The new deaths have taken the Covid-19 death toll to 11,072.

Nepal currently has 20,743 active cases, the ministry added.
