Kathmandu: The country has recorded 1,158 new Covid-19 cases and 12 infection-related deaths in the past 24 hours.
The infections were revealed from a total of 14,003 Covid-19 tests, according to the latest update released by the Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday.
Presently, the number of active infection cases stands at 18,422. Until now, the number of recovery cases is 763,734 with 1,318 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate is 96.3 percent.
The death toll from the virus has so far hit 11,115 with 12 deaths today, the Ministry said.
Of the infected ones, 364 have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) while 120 are on ventilator support.
Similarly, 17,125 are in home isolation, 1,297 in institution-isolation and 328 at quarantine facilities.
