Saptari: The Armed Police Force, Saptari, has rescued an Indian national from Saptari district.

A team led by SPF Inspector Lal Bahadur Khadka acting on a tip off rescued Shankar Kumar Sah of Laukaha in Madhubani, Bihar State who was found abandoned with his feet bound by iron chains at a bush at Bihul Rural Municipality-5 in Saptari district along Nepal-India border, said Deputy Superintendent, APF, Raju Shrestha.

A group of unidentified people might have abducted and abandoned Sah in the no man’s land, said the police.

The APF also recovered a mobile phone from the incident site, said Shrestha, adding that Sah has been handed over to the district police office.
