China to provide medical assistance worth Rs 90 million to Nepal

Kathmandu: China has announced providing further medical assistance worth 5 million yuan (approx. Rs 90 million) as a part of its consistent support to Nepal.

Minister of State for Health Umesh Shrestha said that assistance will be used for installing preventative measures in our health system in a bid to save lives from the third wave of the pandemic.

China will be also providing an additional one million Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines to Neap in a grant, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi announced during a courtesy call on Minister Shrestha. Similarly, 300,000 vaccines will be dispatched for Nepal Army under grant assistance.

During the meeting, Ambassador Hou conveyed her message from the Chinese government regarding the aforementioned further assistance. Hearty thanks to China for the generous support, Minister Shrestha said in a tweet.
