Eight passengers critically injured in jeep accident in Annapurna

POKHARA: Eight people are ‘critically injured’ when a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6900) skidded off the road and fell into a river at Kalabhir in Annapurna Rural Municipality-10.

The jeep was en route to Gandruk from Pokhara.

According to police, the jeep plunged some 110 meters from the road at around 2PM today. “There were 10 passengers in the jeep including a diver,” said DSP Subhash Hamal.

According to locals, a passenger has been rescued successfully.

“A team of police is heading towards the incident site. We have got information that some passengers have died in the accident,” DSP Hamal added.
