UML continues House obstruction, meeting postponed until Nov 15

Kathmandu: The main opposition CPN-UML obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday as well.

The UML lawmakers left their seats shortly after the start of the meeting and picketed the bell. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota urged the lawmakers to let the House resume proceedings to discuss the recent floods and landslides. But the lawmakers paid no heed.

Following the obstruction, the meeting has been postponed until November 15.

It may be noted that the main opposition party, UML, has been obstructing the parliamentary meeting since the beginning of the current House session demanding that 14 lawmakers it took action should be dismissed.
