Covid-19: Positivity rate drops to 3.5 percent; 139 new cases and one death recorded

Kathmandu: A total of 139 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were identified from 2,134 RT-PCR and 1,798 antigen tests.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached 814,417 (in PCR tests) and 94,815 (in antigen tests) in the country as of Saturday. The positivity rate stood at 3.5 percent.

Similarly, the Ministry confirmed that 396 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 794,834 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.6 percent.

According to the Ministry, one Covid-19 patient died in the last 24 hours across the country. The Ministry stated that the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has reached 11,439.

The Ministry has further shared that there are 8,144 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
