Kathmandu: On Tuesday, the governments of Nepal and India exchanged an MoU for reciprocal recognition of Covid vaccination certificate at a function held at Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population.

This is the first incidence MOHP has shared a reciprocal MoU with any other nation. Minister of Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada and Indian envoy, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, were also present at the event.

Secretary of the ministry Roshan Pokharel and Indian envoy Kwatra signed the MoU.

“Now onwards, Nepal will validate those vaccinated in India, and India will do the same to those vaccinated in Nepal,” said Pokharel, secretary at MoHP. “This MoU will also ease travel access between Nepal and India.”
