UML General Convention begins in Chitwan today

Kathmandu: The inauguration session of the 10th national General Convention of the CPN-UML is being organized today at a special stage developed on the banks of Narayani River in Chitwan. The party leaders said that the entire preparation for the convention was completed.

The CPN-UML stated that as many as 500,000 people would gather in the inaugural session of the party’s jamboree.

Likewise, a total of 2,175 representatives and 103 observers would take part in the event. 

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and top leaders of different political parties are scheduled to address the opening session of the 10th general convention.

Likewise, representatives of political parties from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and other countries are also scheduled to attend the inaugural session.

Similarly, messages of best wishes have been received from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and other political parties from different countries.

The closed session of the convention will begin at Sauraha from 8:30 am onwards on November 27 for the election of the new leadership.
