Covid-19: Nepal records 255 new cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 255 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Tuesday.

A total of 245 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 10 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 4,329 people were tested through the PCR method while 2,140 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, altogether 256 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 97.7 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, two people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,526.

Nepal currently has 6,931 active cases.
