Kathmandu: Documentary ‘Infected Abroad 2019’ directed by journalist Manchhiring Tamang has won an award at Tokyo Film Awards.

The documentary won the title of Short Best Documentary Award at the festival held in Tokyo, Japan from November 21-23.

The documentary revolves around the story of director Tamang who survived from Covid-19 in 2019 and portrays the relation between family members while he was infected with the deadly pandemic.

The documentary shows how family members can help boost the confidence of each other during a time of crisis. The documentary tells the story of an ordinary Nepali and immigrant youths around the world who live far away from their families,” said Tamang.
