House panel endorses names of three proposed ambassadors

Kathmandu: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee under the Federal Parliament on Monday unanimously approved the names of the proposed ambassadorial candidates for India, the USA, and the UK.

The meeting of the committee here today here endorsed the nominations of ambassadors proposed to India Dr Shankar Sharma, Gyan Chandra Acharya to the UK, and Shreedhar Khatri to the USA, according to Committee Chair Laxman Lal Karna.

Karna shared that the committee endorsed their names after they presented their experiences, qualification, ideas, and concepts to apply after being appointed the ambassadors for the proposed countries.

They will be now appointed by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
