Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 236 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Saturday.
A total of 194 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 42 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 5,672 people were tested through the PCR method while 3,506 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.
Likewise, altogether 307 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 97.9 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, one person succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,553.
Nepal currently has 5,883 active cases.
