Kathmandu: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has conducted the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon amid obstruction from CPN-UML.
UML lawmakers stood from their seats and picketed the rostrum soon after the start of the meeting. Despite obstruction from lawmakers of the main opposition party, Speaker Sapkota moved the House’s proceedings ahead. The meeting was later postponed until 1 pm on January 2.
UML has been obstructing both lower and upper houses demanding that 14 lawmakers it took action should be dismissed.
