Kathmandu: The eighth general convention of the Maoist Centre has kicked off in Kathmandu.
The general convention will be concluded on Wednesday.
The Maoist Centre, earlier, had decided to organize their first national conference. However, at the eleventh hour, the party decided to turn its national conference to the general convention.
Top leaders of all the political parties, including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, are present in the inaugural ceremony of the general convention.
