Kathmandu: Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has been re-elected Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center).
A Central Committee meeting of the party held in Lalitpur on Monday unanimously endorsed the proposal to elect Prachanda as the Maoist Supremo. Narayan Kaji Shrestha proposed Prachanda to the post and the proposal was seconded by Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
The Eighth General Convention of the CPN (Maoist Center) on Sunday elected 236 Central Committee members unanimously. The Central Committee will select the remaining office-bearers and the remaining central members.
