Three missing in Dhading landslide

Kathmandu: Three persons have gone missing along with an excavator in a landslide that occurred at Ruby Valley Rural Municipality-1 in Dhading district on Thursday.

According to Dhading Police Chief SP Rakesh Singh, they were swept away by a dry landslide that occurred during road construction.

“A team of security personnel from the district headquarters has left for the incident site on a helicopter,” said SP Singh. “Another team has been deployed from the local police post.”

According to SP Singh, excavator driver Akash Tamang, co-driver Raju Tamang and local Anish Tamang are missing in the landslide.

Police said it takes about 5-6 hours to reach the site from Dhading Besi, the district headquarters.
