Government decides to shut gyms, cinemas

Kathmandu: In view of rising Covid-19 cases, the government has decided to close cinema halls and gym clubs for the next 15 days.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Friday decided to shut entertainment and recreational activities in a bid to curb the rapid spread of Covid-19, said Minister for Information and Communication Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.

With the decision, the entertainment and recreation activities will be barred till January 29.

Covid-19 cases have seen a rapid surge in Nepal in the last few days.
