Supreme Court curtails services over Covid-19 risks

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) has curtailed its service due to Covid-19 risks. The apex court decided to limit services until February 1 starting from Wednesday.

A full court held on Tuesday decided to hear cases related to habeas corpus, cases related to Covid-19, public health and those of public importance related to fundamental rights among others.

A full court was summoned for today after 31 people at the apex court including Justices and Main Registrar tested positive for coronavirus.

Nepal on Tuesday recorded a record-high daily spike of 10,258 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
