UAE beats Nepal by 25 runs in Oman Quadrangular T20I Series

Kathmandu: The United Arab Emirates defeated Nepal by 25 runs in the Quadrangular T20I Series held in Oman on Saturday.

Chasing down 193 runs target set by the UAE, Nepal managed to get only 167 runs on the board losing five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

For Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee top-scored at 41 runs of 33 balls, hitting five fours, as Aasif Sheikh contributed 34 runs. Rohan Mustafa and Kashif Daud of the UAE grabbed two wickets each.

Earlier, put to bat after losing the toss, the UAE notched up 192 runs on the board losing three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Chirag Suri top-scored for the UAE at 84 runs off 53 balls, smashing five fours and five sixes, as Rohan Mustafa made 49 runs. Basil Hameed contributed 17 runs.

For Nepal, Shahab Alam, Sandeep Lamichhane and Aarif Sheikh took one wicket each.

Earlier on Friday, Nepal had defeated Oman by six wickets in its first match under the T20 Series, comprising four countries, in the match was held at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman.
