Kathmandu: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has boycotted an all-party meeting called by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

The all-party meeting summoned by the Speaker is underway at the Parliament Secretariat.

Earlier today, UML Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai said that the meeting was summoned without consulting with the party.

“We have not been consulted regarding agendas of the meeting. We were absent from earlier meeting summoned by Speaker Sapkota. UML will not attend today’s meeting as well,” said had Bhattarai.

Speaker Sapkota had summoned the meeting to discuss latest political developments following filing of an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.
