Nepali Congress decides to vote in favor of MCC

Kathmandu: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to vote in favor of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

A Parliamentary Party meeting of NC held on Tuesday decided to endorse the much-talked-about compact.

Lawmaker Gagan Thapa, who is also the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, said that the meeting decided to table the proposal in the Parliament and move ahead in the approval process.

Thapa said that he is confident of the parliamentary ratification of MCC.

The government is preparing to table the compact at the Parliament’s meeting slated for Wednesday.
