Dharan: In what is a gruesome murder, a dead body of a man has been found chopped in pieces in Dharan on Wednesday.
The head, torso, and legs of the man were found in separate places in Dharan, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police Narendra Kunwar. The identification of the man is yet to be ascertained.
“The head and legs were found in a bag in a jungle along the Dharan-Bhedetar road section. The torso was found in a bush. The man appears to be in his 40s,” said police.
“It appears he was murdered elsewhere. The body, it seems, has been thrown in Dharan,” said DSP Kunwar, adding the preliminary investigation shows the man was probably murdered a week ago.
The police are preparing to send the body for autopsy.
