Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday said it recorded 570 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of six deaths were registered during the period. Nepal’s Covid-19 death toll stands at 11,911 with the case fatality rate at 1.2 percent.
The country performed 9,789 tests including 7,028 RT-PCR and 2,761 antigen tests.
A total of 1,993 people recovered from the pandemic, taking total recovered cases to 946,330. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate has now improved to 96.9 percent.
Nepal currently has 16,616 active cases. Among them, 15,947 are in home isolation and 669 in institutional isolation. The Health Ministry said 151 people are in ICU and 26 in ventilator support.
