Pandey wins Pepsi Open Golf Tournament

Kathmandu: Bhairaja Pandey won the title of Pepsi Open Golf Tournament here at Gokarna Golf Club.
Panday playing with 11 handicap allowance was tied with Vijay Shrestha Einhaus and Tendi Sherpa at 36 points, he won the title on the countback after scoring 19 on the back nine whereas Einhaus scored 17 and Sherpa got 16. Vijay Shrestha Einhaus playing with scratch (zero) handicap settled with nett runner-up.

Sadbhav Acharya won the best gross title with 37 gross points, he also bagged most birdies award after making five birdies. Tendi Sherpa was the winner among seniors (60 years and above) with 36 points. Kashmira Shah bagged the ladies section trophy with 32 points and Rekha Ghimire was runner-up with 28 points.

Arshya Basnyat was the junior winner with a score of 39 points. Marcus Doublard won the closest to the pin and Dhundul Namgyal won the longest drive. In all 95 golfers participated in the tournament sponsored by Varun Beverages (Nepal) Pvt Ltd.

The tournament was played on a stableford format with 3/4 handicap. Marketing head of Varun Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Hmantha Wangshul, Marketing Manager Pulkit Kondoi, President of Gokarna Golf Club Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan handed over the trophy and prizes to the winners of the tournament.
