Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held a meeting on Thursday.

During the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar, Prime Minister Deuba urged Chair Dahal to extend their support as discussions on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact are about to start at the House of Representatives.

PM Deuba’s Press Chief Govinda Pariyar said that PM Deuba requested Chair Dahal to help pass the MCC Compact. Prachanda, however, said that they can’t support parliamentary ratification of the Compact.

Prachanda reached Baluwatar to meet PM Deuba soon after holding a meeting with Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, and senior leader Jhalanath Khanal at Singha Durbar.

During the meeting held at Singh Durbar, the leaders discussed how to move ahead regarding MCC Compact as the agenda has been set to hold a discussion on MCC in today’s HoR meeting.
