Oratory contest for tourism promotion

Kathmandu: Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI) conducted a school-level oratory competition on the theme of ‘Tourism Potentials in Bagmati Province’ at APF School, Kirtipur, on Friday. Susrita Kuikel, Rishi Nayak and Dilasha Sapkota stood first, second and third respectively in the competition.

The program conducted at APF School was participated by Armed Police Force DSP Ambika Prasad Joshi, President of TRTI Madan Kumar Baral and Marketing Manager of Nebico Biscuit Sudarsan Baral among others.

Associate Professor of Tribhuvan University Dr Karnakhar Khatiwada, TRTI Director Saroj Pyakurel and the teacher of APF School Santa Aryal were in the panel of judges.  The first, second and third position holders were awarded cash prize of Rs 2500, Rs 15,00 and Rs 1000 respectively.

The TRI has been conducting various programs across the country with the slogan ‘Prosperity through Tourism.’ In the first phase, oratory contests will be conducted in 10 schools inside the valley, said TRTI President Madan Kumar Baral.
