Kathmandu: Four Nepali nationals have arrived home from Ukraine on Saturday. They secured their return to Nepal with the help of India.
The Indian government is repatriating its citizens through Operation Ganga, targeting its citizens stranded due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. The Indian government brought back four Nepalis as a part of the mission.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has thanked the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Government of India for their assistance in repatriating Nepali nationals.
“Four Nepali nationals have just arrived in Nepal from Ukraine via India. Thank you, Prime Minister, @narendramodi and the Government of India for the assistance in repatriating Nepali nationals through the #OperationGanga,” PM Deuba said in a tweet.
Nepal had sought assistance from the Indian government for the evacuation of its stranded nationals.
