Covid-19 Nepal: Active cases drop to 4,819 as recovery rate improves to 98.3 percent

Kathmandu: A total of 148 people have recovered in a span of 24 hours in the country, while the number of new confirmed cases reported is 58, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The recovery rate has improved to 98.3 percent, the Health Ministry said in a daily bulletin.

The Ministry of Health said that 50 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while eight were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 3,539 people were tested through the PCR method while 1,879 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

No new death was recorded in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said.

A decline in new cases and improvement in daily recoveries have taken active Covid-19 cases in Nepal down significantly in the past few days. Nepal currently has 4,819 active cases.
