Nepal receives 766,350 Pfizer vaccines from US

Kathmandu: Nepal has received 766,350 doses of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines from the US. The vaccines were donated through the COVAX Facility.

“Happy to welcome the arrival of an additional 766,350 doses of US-donated Pfizer covid-19 vaccines. We’ve already delivered over 500 million Covid-19 vaccines across 110 countries, including over 3.1 million to Nepal to date!,” US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry tweeted.


Head of the supply division under the Department of Health Services Dr Suresh Chaurasiya said that the vaccines will be administered to citizens above 12 years.

A total of 47.882 million vaccines have been received in Nepal so far from different countries.
