PNG posts 293 runs target against Nepal

Kathmandu: Papua New Guinea (PNG) has set a commendable target of 293 runs target for Nepal on Friday.

In a match played at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur in Kathmandu, PNG set the target losing eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

Charles Amini top-scored for PNG at 77 runs of 103 balls hitting six fours and a six. Captain Assad Vala contributed 60 runs off 55 balls smashing 11 fours as Norman Vanua made 47 runs.

Kamal Airee, Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee took two wickets each. Sandeep Lamichhane and Pawan Sarraf grabbed one wicket apiece.
