Kathmandu: Nepal Police Headquarters has transferred 673 police inspectors.
A large number of police inspectors were transferred on the same day the Election Commission was preparing to enforce the code of conduct for the local-level elections slated for May 13. The transfer and promotion are restricted once the code of conduct is implemented.
The transfer was made as per the decision by the Inspector General of Police on Wednesday.
The transferred personnel will be able to draw their salaries for the coming month of Baisakh from the places they have been transferred, Nepal Police said in a statement.
