Kathmandu: The government has promoted the Additional Inspector General (AIG) of the Armed Police Force (APF) Pushparam KC to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning promoted KC to the post, a cabinet minister told Nepal Live Today.
The Armed Police Force was headless after Shailendra Khanal got retired on Monday completing his four-year tenure.
KC will lead the force until May 1 as he is retiring on the date completing his 30-year service period.
