Kathmandu: At least one person died and seven others sustained injuries in a blast at an oxygen bottling plant located at Lalitpur Industrial Estate on Thursday morning.
“The blast occurred while filling oxygen at the Sagarmatha Oxygen Plant in the industrial area. One person was killed and seven others were injured in the blast,” said Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur SSP Yagya Binod Pokharel.
According to him, a cylinder exploded while bottling oxygen, and then nearby two-three more cylinders exploded causing the fatalities.
