Kathmandu: Rapper Balen Shah, who is competing for Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), received ‘lauro‘ a stick as an election symbol for the local elections slated for May 13.
Shah got the election symbol on Saturday as per the election timetable of the Election Commission to distribute election symbols to independent candidates across the country.
Shah will be competing against Srijana Singh, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, and Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML among others.
