Two arrested with Rs 1.6 million

Kathmandu: Police arrested two persons with Rs 1.6 million, the source of which has not been disclosed, from Machhapokhari in Kathmandu on Saturday morning.

They are Dipendra Sunar, 31, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-11 in Chitwan, and 33-year-old Sagar Yadav, from Maharastra, India.

Such a huge amount of currency with no source disclosed was seized in course of a security check on the road. Police suspected the duo, who were walking on the road with a bag, and confiscated the currency.
Police Circle in Balaju has forwarded the investigation into the case keeping them in custody.
