Shree Airlines aircraft makes emergency landing at Kathmandu airport after engine failure

Kathmandu: An aircraft of Shree Airlines that flew to Dhangadhi from Kathmandu made an emergency landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday after a mid-air engine failure.

Chief of TIA Security Office SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal said that the aircraft landed safely and all the passengers and crew members were safe and sound.

“The left engine of the aircraft failed a few minutes after it took off from Kathmandu. The aircraft has landed safely,” said SSP Dhakal.

A total of 87 passengers were on board the aircraft.
