At least 13 killed as jeep carrying voters skids off road in Syangja

Kathmandu: At least 13 people were killed and 12 others injured when a jeep carrying voters met with an accident in Syangja on Friday.

Spokesperson DSP Rabindra Khanal at District Police Office, Syangja said the jeep veered off the road and fell 500 meters down after the driver lost control.

The jeep, Ga 2 Chha 3026, was heading to Tiwari Pasal from Waling-14 when it met with the accident, police said.

The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and a rescue effort is underway. Details of the accident are awaited.
