Local polls: 30 percent vote cast in four hours

Kathmandu: People are enthusiastically voting in local-level elections on Friday.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya said that around 30 percent of votes have been cast within four hours after the elections kicked off.

“Voting is being held peacefully except in few places,” said CEC Thapaliya, adding that the commission expects turnout to be at 70-75 percent.
