Vote counting begins in Bharatpur Metropolitan City

Kathmandu: The counting of votes in Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan has started. The counting started from Ward No. 1 of the metropolis at around noon on Saturday.

A total of 127,000 votes have been cast in the elections held on Friday in the metropolis with 185,000 voters.

Renu Dahal, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, is the mayoral candidate from the CPN (Maoist Center). Vijay Subedi is in the race from UML.
