Nepal local elections 2022, Follow counting in Kathmandu Metropolis

Kathmandu: Vote counting is underway in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Balen Shah, an independent candidate who shot to fame from the popular rap battling league Raw Barz, has taken an early lead in the vote counting. Keshav Sthapit from CPN-UML and Srijana Singh from Nepali Congress are also contesting in the metropolis. There are a total of 55 candidates for the mayoral position.

As many as 300,242 voters were registered at the Election Commission for the local elections in 2022, according to the commission. The Kathmandu Metropolis consists of a total of 32 wards.

CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit: 26,441
