Balen Shah extends lead by over 3,500 votes in Kathmandu metropolis

Kathmandu: Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading by over 3,500 votes in the vote counting for Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

As per the latest update, Shah has received 7,534 votes. His closest contestant Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has got 3,982 votes. Sirjana Singh of the Nepali Congress is third with 3,486 votes.

Currently, votes of wards 3,4,5,6, 31, and 32 are being counted. The counting of wards 1 and 2 has been completed.
