Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged victorious in Dakshinkali Municipality of Kathmandu.
As per the final results made public on Monday, NC’s Mohan Basnet got elected Mayor receiving 7,201 votes. His closest rival Shreeram Acharya of CPN-UML bagged 5,191votes.
Likewise, Basanti Tamang of NC got elected Deputy Mayor of the municipality located on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley. She garnered 7,623 votes against her closest rival Indira Neupane of UML at 4,830 votes.
