Kathmandu: Renu Dahal, the candidate of the ruling alliance from CPN (Maoist Center) has widened her lead for the mayor of Bharatpur metropolis as more votes cast in the local polls are counted.
As of Thursday noon, Dahal is ahead in the mayoral race with 3,126 votes. Dahal has collected 15,513 votes while Vijaya Subedi of UML has got 12,387 votes.
Meanwhile, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 6,403 votes.
