Nepal beats Bhutan by four wickets in U-19 T20 WC Asia Qualifiers

Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Bhutan by four wickets in a match under the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers.

Nepal achieved the 67 runs target set by Bhutan in 13.1 over losing six wickets in 13.1 overs. For Nepal, Sanu Rajbamshi hit the highest 30 runs and Sana Prabin and Srishti Jaisi 18 and eight runs respectively. For Bhutan, Sangay Wangmo took three wickets and Sonam and Anjuli Ghailey one each.

Put to bat after winning the toss, Bhutan made 66 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing nine wickets. For the team, Captain Ngawang Choden and Wangmo made 11 runs each. Similarly, Pema Yanchen and Chado Om contributed nine and six runs respectively. For Nepal, Kritika Marasini, Anu Kadayat and Manisha Kumari Upadhyay claimed two wickets each.

With this, Nepal has secured two wins and suffered a loss out of three matches played so far. Along with Nepal, hosts Malaysia, UAE, Thailand, Bhutan and Qatar have participated in the match.

Nepal is facing Thailand in next match tomorrow.
