PM Deuba skips International Relations Committee meeting called to hold discussions on SPP

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba did not attend the meeting of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives on Sunday.

The prime minister did not attend the meeting despite questions raised against the government on United States’ State Partnership Program. 

The committee, amid the latest developments on SPP, had directed the Prime Minister to be present in the meeting today. 

The Prime Minister was summoned to answer questions raised by members of the committee on issues including his upcoming US visit and SPP.

Committee chairperson Pavitra Niraula said that Prime Minister Deuba did not attend the meeting.

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan is likely to attend the committee meeting.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka and Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma answered the questions raised against the government and the Army in the committee.
